George Springer hit a three-run inside the park home run for Toronto, made a diving catch and threw out a base-runner. Toronto has won seven of its last nine. Toronto is third in the American League East but more importantly currently second in the AL wild card race with the top three qualifying.
The New York Yankees have won eight of the last 10 played on the road and have won five of the last six played on the road versus Toronto. New York starting pitcher Gerrit Cole has allowed just six earned runs across the last 32 innings. Toronto starter Jose Berrrios was hit hard last time out allowing four runs across 5 ⅔ innings in a 5-3 loss to the Yankees.
